Why Choose DensGlass Sheathing

01

A1 fire rated

DensGlass carries an A1 Reaction to Fire classification (BS EN 13501-1) and is non-combustible per ASTM E136 — meeting strict fire code requirements for exterior wall assemblies.

02

Superior moisture and mould resistance

Fiberglass mats on both sides eliminate the food source for mould, making DensGlass ideal for New Zealand's humid climate and coastal zones.

03

Construction schedule flexibility

Resilient enough to be left exposed to the elements for up to 12 months, giving project managers significant flexibility in cladding installation schedules.

DensGlass Sheathing Overview

High-performance sheathing built for New Zealand conditions

DensGlass Sheathing is a high-performance, A1 Fire Rated sheathing board consisting of a fibreglass mat with a gypsum core, designed to provide high protection from the elements in external cladding constructions. DensGlass can be used as an external sheathing for steel and timber framing and is backed with a limited warranty against manufacturer's defect and exposure to normal weather.

Unlike paper-faced gypsum, DensGlass features fiberglass mats on both sides, eliminating the food source for mould. Its dimensionally stable core, BPIR Class 1 rating, and Intertek CCRR0377 code of compliance make it a reliable choice for architects and builders specifying exterior wall assemblies across New Zealand.
